Cyfrowy Polsat maps out the future

The leading Polish DTH platform Cyfrowy Polsat should win over new subscribers thanks to its partnership with Polkomtel, which operates the mobile company Plus.

That, at least, is the expectation of Cyfrowy Polsat’s president Dominik Libicki, quoted in Gazeta Prawna, who adds that the two companies are ‘natural business partners’ capable of competing with Orange and T-Mobile on the one hand and TP, TVN and Cyfra+ on the other.

One of the first actions of Cyfrowy Polsat and Polkomtel will be to launch a mobile TV service through Info TV FM in Q1 2012.

The latter was acquired last month by Cyfrowy Polsat in a deal worth €6.64 million.
