Acer today announced the US arrival of its second-generation Aspire One Happy netbook. This new machine is based on the Pine Trail platform, it packs a 1.66 GHz Atom N570 dual-core processor, and comes in four fresh colors - Papaya Milk, Strawberry Yogurt, Blueberry Shake and Banana Cream. Yummy.
The Happy 2 also features a textured liquid "water ripples" pattern on its display lid and is equipped with a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) CrystalBrite LED-backlit screen, GMA 3150 integrated graphics, 1GB of RAM, a 250GB hard drive, an SD card slot, LAN, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, a 0.3 megapixel webcam, and a 3-cell (4 hours battery life) or 6-cell (8 hours) battery.
The Aspire One Happy 2 has Windows 7 Starter and Office Starter 2010 pre-installed and costs from $270 (for the models with a 3-cell battery) to $300 (for the ones with a 6-cell battery).
