Introduced in Europe last month, the new, Huron River-based Aspire TimelineX line of laptops from Acer has today been launched in the US. The offering includes the 13.3-inch 3830T, 14-inch 4830T and 15.6-inch 5830T models, all running Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit.
The updated TimelineX notebooks feature CineCrystal LED-backlit (1366 x 768) displays, chiclet keyboards, two built-in 3DSonic Stereo speakers, Core i3 or i5 processors, 4GB of RAM, integrated (Intel HD 3000) or discrete (GeForce GT 540M or 520M with Optimus) graphics, a 500GB/640GB hard drive, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, one USB 3.0 port, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, a multi-in-one card reader, a HDMI outputs, and a 6-cell battery enabling up to 8 or 9 hours of operation (8 for models with a GeForce 500M cards, 9 for those with Intel graphics).
The 14-inch and 15.6-inch laptops also include an 8x DVD writer.
The Aspire TimelineX 3830T, 4830T and 5830T start at $799, $699, and $599, respectively.
