In a welcomed gun-jumping move, AMD has exposed the soon-to-be-released A-Series mobile APUs (accelerated processing units) through its own website. The incoming offering includes seven 32nm chips (codename Llano), five of which boast four x86 cores, while two settle for a dual-core configuration.
The flagship of the mobile A-Series line is the A8-3530MX which has core clock of 1.9 GHz (2.6 GHz via Turbo Core), 4MB of L2 cache, Radeon HD 6620G DirectX 11 graphics (400 Stream Processors) @ 444 MHz, DDR3-1600 memory support, and a TDP of 45W.
Further down the line there are the A8-3510MX and A8-3500M which feature the same graphics solution, 4MB of L2 cache, and are clocked at 1.8 GHz (2.5 GHz Turbo Core) and 1.5 GHz (2.4 GHz, respectively. The A8-3510MX boasts a 45W TDP, while the A8-3500M tops 35W.
The 1.6 GHz (2.3 GHz Turbo Core) A6-3410MX and 1.4 GHz (2.3 GHz) A6-3400 include 4MB L2 cache, Radeon HD 6520G graphics (320 SPs) @ 400 MHz, and have a TDP of 45W/35W.
The dual-core A6-3310MX and A6-3300M pack 2MB of L2 cache, Radeon HD 6480G graphics (240 SPs) @ 444 MHz, and are clocked at 2.1 GHz (2.5 GHz Turbo Core) and 1.9 GHz (2.5 GHz).
Laptops based on these APUs should be available very soon.
