Apacer Technology has this week introduced its newest memory card creations, SLC and MLC-based SD/SDHC cards which are specifically designed for use in industrial applications, military, communication, surveillance, medical devices and car navigation.
Both SLC and MLC models comply with the SD 2.0 standard, have a Class 10 rating, a low power consumption, anti-shock and anti-vibration features, and are able to operate at -40º C to 85º C.
The SD card with SLC (single-level cell) NAND Flash memory go from 256MB to 8GB in terms of capacity and deliver read/write speeds of up to 20/13 MB/s, while the MLC (multi-level cell) models go from 4GB to 32GB and are capable of transfer speeds of 19/8 MB/s (read/write).
