Going all-out in terms of affordability, French consumer electronics company Archos is currently preparing the release of the Arnova 7 tablet which costs just $99. For this low price tag you're getting a 7-inch device that is powered by a yet unknown chip and runs Android 2.2 (Froyo).
Archos' cheapo tablet measures 193.3 x 120 x 12.6 mm and packs an 800 x 480 touchscreen LCD, 4GB of storage, a microSD card slot, 802.11 b/g WiFi, a built-in speaker, and USB 2.0 connectivity.
The Arnova 7's release schedule has not been announced or suggested.
