Whenever it decided to honor us with its presence, in August, September, or worse, October, AMD's first desktop Bulldozers, the FX-Series CPUs will have a lot of choice in terms of motherboards, including the Fatal1ty 990FX Professional announced today by ASRock.
Seen below, this new, flagship gaming board has a sweet black/red color theme, it supports AM3+ chips, is powered by the AMD 990FX chipset and packs a heap of goodies like 16+2 phase digital PWM, Gold Caps, two Fatal1ty mouse ports (allows the polling rate to be adjusted from 125 Hz to 1000 Hz), three PCI-Express x16 slots for CrossFireX or SLI setups, four DDR3-2100 memory slots and six SATA 6.0 Gbps ports.
ASRock's creation also features dual Gigabit Ethernet, the XFast LAN application for managing their network, the XFast USB technology for higher transfer speeds via the built-in (two on the backplate, four via headers) USB 3.0 ports, Graphical UEFI, one FireWire and two eSATA connectors, 7.1 channel audio, a debut LED, plus Power, Reset and Clear CMOS buttons.
Unfortunately ASRock didn't say when the Fatal1ty 990FX Professional will go on sale. Or how much it will cost.
