One week after making its debut at Computex, Asus' highly-customized and factory-overclocked ROG (Republic of Gamers) Matrix GTX 580 graphics card has also received a proper launch and is currently gearing up to reach stores worldwide.
Codenamed MATRIX GTX580 P/2DIS/1536MD5, this new enthusiast-grade card features a 19-phase power design, Super Alloy components, a dual-fan DirectCU II-based cooler which takes up three PCI slots, a Safe Mode button enabling 'worry-free overclocking', voltage read points, two 8-pin PCIe power connectors, and a button that makes its fans operate at 100% speed.
The Matrix GTX 580 has 512 CUDA Cores, GPU/shader clocks of 816/1632 MHz, a 384-bit memory interface, 1536MB of GDDR5 VRAM @ 4008 MHz, 3-way SLI support, and dual-DVI, HDMI and DisplayPort outputs. The card can now be found on pre-order, priced as low as 478 .
