Asus' Lamborghini-branded VX6 premium netbook is apparently getting an update as at Computex one can see on display a model called VX6S which features almost the same design but swaps the Atom D525 CPU and the Nvidia ION GPU of the VX6 for a 'new' unnamed Atom chip and an AMD Radeon HD 6470M card.
Like its predecessor, the VX6S features a glossy look, a sports card-inspired chassis, and a 12.1-inch (1366 x 768) LED-backlit display, but packs a 500GB hard drive (plus 500GB of web storage) - the VX6 had a 250/320GB HDD. The new version also supports up to 4GB of RAM, and has 802.11 b/g/n WiFI, Bluetooth 3.0, a card reader, and a 6-cell battery.
The Lamborghini VX6S comes with Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed and includes the Express Gate instant-on OS. Pricing and availability info is MIA.
