Bringing its N Series line up to speed, Asus has begun to roll out in Europe the N53SV-SX387V and N53SN-SZ127V laptops which are based on the Huron River platform and are marketed as true 'portable entertainment centers'.
The N53SV-SX387V costs 949 and features a 15.6-inch (1366 x 768) LED-backlit display, a 2.3 GHz Core i5-2410M processor, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB (5400 RPM) hard drive, a GeForce GT 540M graphics card and a 4x Blu-ray combo drive.
Priced at 1.299, the N53SN-SZ127V comes with a Full HD screen (still 15.6-inch), a 2.0 GHz Core i7-2630QM CPU, 6GB of RAM, a 500GB (7200 RPM) HDD, a 4x Blu-ray combo unit and a GeForce GT 550M card.
Both of Asus' laptops include Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth, a 3-in-1 card reader, a webcam, USB 3.0 and HDMI connectors, a 6-cell battery, and run Windows 7 Professional.
