Corsair has just introduced its first storage solutions to utilize SandForce's SF-2281 controller, the third-gen Force Series solid state drives. Coming in 60GB, 120GB and 240GB capacities, the F3 SSDs have a 2.5-inch form factor, a SATA 6.0 Gbps interface and MLC (multi-level cell) NAND Flash.

"Corsair, and its newest Force Series 3 drives, is poised to ride the wave of SATA 3 adoption by offering compelling pricing and enthusiast-level performance."
The Force Series 3 drives are capable of sequential read and write speeds of up to 550 MB/s and 520 MB/s, respectively and 85,000 IOPS, they are backed by a three-year warranty and are bundled with a 3.5-inch adapter.
The 60GB, 120GB and 240GB F3 drives will become available later this month priced at $139, $219 and $499, respectively.
