Previously released in Gigabyte's home market (Taiwan), the S1080 tablet PC is now looking (almost) ready to become available in the US too. This device is based around the Pine Trail platform and has Windows 7 Home Premium pre-installed.
The S1080 weights 0.90kg and features a 10.1-inch (1024 x 600) capacitive touchscreen, a 1.66 GHz Atom N570 dual-core CPU, 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive, an SD card slor, a 1.3 megapixel webcam, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, a USB 3.0 port, and a D-Sub output, and a 4000mAh battery.
Gigabyte's tablet costs $649 and is claimed to start shipping on July 1st.
