Lenovo has this week made available for purchase a new Essential series laptop, the 15.6-inch G575 model which is based on AMD's Brazos platform and is powered by the quite popular E-350 APU (with two x86 cores @ 1.6 GHz and Radeon HD 6310 DirectX 11 graphics).
Lenovo's Fusion-flavored Essential machine also features a one-hand hinge, an AccuType keyboard, 4GB of RAM, a 500GB or 750GB hard drive, a DVD writer, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, and a 6-cell battery.
The Essential G575 runs Windows 7 Home Premium 64bit, is backed by a one-year warranty, and starts at $549 .
