Mitsubishi Electric has today announced a new Diamondcrysta series monitor, a 23-inch model dubbed RDT233WX-3D which features an IPS (in-plane switching) panel enabling 178/178 viewing angles, LED backlighting, and 3D capabilities.
That's right, Mitsubishi is betting on stereoscopic 3D technology (glasses required and bundled) with this display which is also equipped with the Giga Clear II image enhancement engine and boasts a Picture-in-Picture function. In terms of specs, we have a native resolution of 1920 x 1080 pixels, a 3.8ms (GTG) response time) a 1,000:1 contrast ratio (5,000:1 DCR), D-Sub, DVI and dual HDMI 1.4 inputs, two 2W speakers, and a stand allowing for height and tilt adjustments.
The RDT233WX-3D will go on sale in Japan on May 30th, its reported price tag being 52,800 yen (~ $646).
