Olympus has now revealed to the world three new PEN series interchangeable lens cameras, the compact and 'lightning fast' PEN E-P3, E-PL3 and E-PM1. All three models feature a 12.3-megapixel Live MOS Image Sensor and are capable of 1080i video recording (with Dolby Digital sound).
The fresh PEN trio also makes use of the TruePic VI image processor, and have an ISO sensitivity of up to 12,800, a reengineered autofocus system, SDHC/SDXC memory card support, new user interfaces, and multiple creative features - Art Filters, Multiple Exposure, Aspect Ratios and In-Camera Editing.
The flagship PEN E-P3 comes with an all-metal casing, a 614,000-dot OLED touchscreen, and is claimed to have the 'world’s fastest autofocus'. The E-PL3 packs a tilting 3-inch 460,000 pixel LCD screen, while the colorful (it will be available in purple, pink, brown, white, silver and black) E-PM1 has a fixed 3-inch display.
Olympus only mentioned the PEN E-P3's pricing - $900 for either other two packages - one includes MSC M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED m14-42mm II R f3.5/5.6 Zoom Lens, while the other MSC M.ZUIKO DIGITAL ED m17mm f2.8 Prime Lens.
