Panasonic today introduced a new, compact and light (222 grams) Lumix series digital interchangeable lens camera, the July-bound DMC-GF3. Set to be available in black, white, red and brown, the GF3 is 16.7% smaller than its predecessor but still has a built-in flash and can record 1080/60i video.
Panasonic's camera makes use of an aluminum body and features a 12.1-megapixel Live MOS sensor, a Venus Engine FHD image processor, a 3-inch touchscreen (460k dot), up to ISO 6400 sensitivity, Contrast AF, a Dust Reduction System, and SD/SDHC/SDXC memory card support.
The DMC-GF3 will be available next month for $700 with the 14mm lens kit system, while in August, Panasonic will also introduce a GF3 bundle which includes 14-42mm lens and costs $600.
