China's own RunCore Innovation Technology is coming out with no less than three mSATA solid state drives which feature an mSATA connector and a SandForce controller, the speedy T50 (SATA 6.0 Gbps interface), the mid-range I50 (SATA 3.0 Gbps) and the entry-level 'Lite' (also SATA 3.0 Gbps).
The T50 comes equipped with the SF-2218 controller, offers read and write speeds of up to 550 MB/s and 470 MB/s, respectively, is capable of a 4k random read/write performance of 60,000/35,000 IOPS, and is backed by a three-year warranty. 60GB ($198), 120GB ($358), 240GB (price N/A) and 480GB (price N/A) capacities are planned for this model.
The I50 line includes 60GB ($178) and 120GB ($380) drives that deliver read/write speeds of 280/270 MB/s and a 4k random write/read performance of 45,000/30,0000 IOPS.
As for the RunCore Lite drives, these pack a SandForce SF-2141 chip, they are made for OEM applications and come in 16GB ($28) and 32GB ($38) capacities.
