Samsung Electronics is really serious about supporting its Android line and proof of that stands in the announcement regarding the roll out of a Gingerbread (Android 2.3) updates for the Galaxy Tab 7-inch tablets and the Galaxy S, Ace, Gio, Fit and mini smartphones.
The move from Android 2.2 (Froyo) to 2.3 allows for better overall performance, ***ier 3D graphics, and brings a tweaked user interface and improved copy-and-paste functionality.
The Gingerbread update is now going live for the Galaxy S in the UK and Nordic countries, and will be 'gradually rolled out to other European markets, North America, Southeast Asia, the Middle East Asia, Africa and rest of the world according to the regional plan.' The move to Android 2.3 can be made via the Kies device management software offered by Samsung.
