Less than five months have passed since Sapphire introduced the EDGE-HD and the well-known add-in board maker has already developed an updated version of its mini PC which features the same slim and lightweight design but packs a slightly more powerful processor, the dual-core 1.8 GHz Atom D525.
Beside the D525, Sapphire's 530-gram EDGE-HD2 has 2GB of RAM, a 320GB hard drive (the EDGE-HD packs a 250GB HDD), an Nvidia ION 2 GPU backed by 512MB of VRAM, Gigabit Ethernet, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, four USB 2.0 ports, and D-Sub and HDMI outputs.
The EDGE-HD2 is said to consume under 30W under load and will be available either with Windows 7 (Ultimate?) or Free DOS pre-installed.
