Announced in March, Seagate's Pulsar XT.2 solid state drive has now entered distribution channels and is moving fast towards enterprises in need of high performance, reliable and secure storage.
Seagate's SSD has a 2.5-inch form factor, SLC (single-level cell) NAND Flash memory chips, a SAS (Serial Attached SCSI) 6.0 Gbps interface, is capable of read and write speeds of up to 360 MB/s and 300 MB/s, respectively, and delivers a random read/write performance of up to 48,000 / 22,000 IOPS.
The Pulsar XT.2 goes up to 400GB in terms of capacity.
