In these first five months of 2011 Sony Ericsson announced no less than six Xperia smartphones, including the sleek and slim Xperia arc and the gaming-craving Xperia Play, but apparently that wasn't enough as the company is now readying the release of another device, one known as ST18i or Urushi.
Described as the Xperia arc's little brother, the ST18i is not as thin as the arc and has a smaller display - 3.2-inch versus 4.2-inch (the resolution is still 854x480) but packs very similar hardware, the same 1GHz Qualcomm MSM8255 processor with Adreno 205 graphics and an 8 megapixel rear-facing camera that can record 720p video.
Urushi also makes use of the Bravia Mobile engine for a better viewing experience and runs Android 2.3.3 (Gingerbread). It's expected to become available in September.
