Sony Europe has this week announced a little something for people who'd want to immerse themselves in surround sound but don't have the space for a speaker system, a pair of wireless headphones which uses the Virtualphones technology to deliver a a 7.1 channel experience.
Sony's headphones are named MDR-DS6500 and feature a monolithic design, padded earcups and headband, an operating range of up to 100 meters, a frequency response of 12 Hz to 22,000 Hz, Dolby Digital, Dolby Pro Logic IIx, DTS and DTS ES support, and a battery that allows for up to 20 hours of continuous use.
The MDR-DS6500 is bundled with a wireless charging dock and is scheduled for a May release.
