Those looking for a tablet PC based on Intel's Oak Trail platform may be interested to know that Toshiba has now put up for pre-order its Stylistic Q550 10.1-inch device. The Q550 runs Windows 7 Home Premium 32bit and is expected to start shipping in June.
Toshiba's tablet PC comes in two versions, both of which feature an LED-backlit (WXGA) IPS touchscreen support both finger and pen input, a 1.5 GHz Atom Z670 processor, 2GB of RAM, GMA 600 integrated graphics, 802.11 b/g/n WiFi, Bluetooth 3.0, an SD/SDHC slot, a fingerprint sensor, dual microphones, and a USB 2.0 port.
The Q550-30GB-01 model packs 30GB worth of storage space, a 2-cell battery, and costs $729, while the Q550-62GB-02 has 62GB, a 4-cell battery, a TPM (Trusted Platform Module) v1.2, and goes for $849. Both can be found here .
